Kewal Singh Athwal

Kewal has lived in the Wilsthorpe ward for over 37 years and has been a Councillor at Erewash Borough Council since May 2007 representing the Wilsthorpe residents. He was also the Mayor of Erewash in the 2014-2015 Civic year and is currently the Chairman of the Licensing and Public Protection Committee and Chairman of the Taxi Drivers Panel. In addition to this Kewal also represents Wilsthorpe and Sawley residents on Derbyshire County Council serving as Cabinet Member for Highways Assets and Transport where he works tirelessly to bring investment into our local roads and streets.

Chris Corbett

Chris and his wife Linda have been living in Wilsthorpe since 1995 where he has been a Conservative Councillor for 24 years. He was Leader of the Council for 10 years between 2007 and 2017 followed by a year as the Mayor of Erewash. Chris retails his enthusiasm and drive to serve and to get the best he can for all the people of our ward. Nothing is too much trouble.

Ben Hall-Evans

Ben was born and raised in Long Eaton with a supply chain career that has taken him all over the world. He is proud to call Long Eaton home and was honoured to have been approached by Michael Powell to succeed his position locally and continue his excellent work. With a long family history linked to the area, he has deep ties to Long Eaton and is keen to ensure that the Council's offers opportunities in the area to support future generations. He is committed to working with local residents to achieve the best for Wilsthorpe.
