As a keen walker she wants to prioritise maintaining footpath accessibility in our villages.
Robert Flatley
Robert lives in West Hallam and is actively involved in the local community. For the past 4 years he has served as a member of West Hallam Parish Council. This has given him a good understanding of local issues and a drive to change things for the better. He is always available to listen to people’s concerns and does his best to resolve any problems. Robert is a member of a number of local organisations including West Hallam Well Dressings and the West Hallam and Mapperley Magazine. He is keen to preserve the rural character of the local villages and wants to support local groups and ensure that younger people can have their voice heard at Erewash Borough Council.
Carol Hart
Carol has lived in West Hallam for over 40 years, and has served on West Hallam Parish Council since 1996. She was elected to Erewash Borough Council in 2001 and when Conservatives took control in 2003 became a member of the Executive. Since then Carol has served as Deputy Leader for 10 years and for the last 6 years as Leader of the Council. She is also currently Cabinet Member for Health and Communities at Derbyshire County Council, having been a County Councillor since 2005. Carol serves on several local charities and is very proud to be President of West Hallam Junior Football Club and also West Hallam White Rose Cricket Club. Although she not have a lot of spare time, Carol is a season ticket (frustrated) at DCFC and if she can find the time she loves to visit Malta and also nearer to home the Norfolk coast. Being involved in working for the community gets her up in a morning and she loves being able to help people in any way possible.
