Maggie Throup and Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude paid a visit to local charity P3 to find out more about its work.
Prospective MP for Erewash Maggie Throup said: “P3 are an inspirational charity, which helps homeless people to get their lives back on track. I am particularly pleased to hear that P3 have been successful in their bid for Fair Chance Funding, which will be used to help more 18-24 year old to get a roof over their heads, return to education and secure a proper job.
“This demonstrates a real commitment by the Conservatives-led Government to support outstanding social enterprises, like P3, to help those most vulnerable in our communities to turn their lives around.”
"Today I visited People, Potential, Possibilities with our impressive Conservative candidate Maggie Throup. Social enterprises like P3 are a great example of how much people can do with each other, for each other, in their communities and for their communities.
“At the next general election the country faces a clear choice between competence and chaos. We need to stick to our long-term economic plan to create more jobs, keep growing the economy and pay down the deficit."
