Erewash Borough Councillors for the Wilsthorpe Ward Cllr Kewal Singh Athwal, Cllr Chris Corbett and Cllr Michael Powell have agreed to assist the Long Eaton Rugby FC Girls team with financial funding to purchase training equipment from the EBC Members Community Grant Scheme. Girls rugby is now getting very popular nationally and with young ladies of our local area. We understand that there are about 80 girls / ladies who are now actively playing rugby for LERFC and Councillors Athwal, Corbett and Powell have jointly contributed £750 towards training equipment that will be used in the fitness training for these players.
