Long Eaton Councillor and Deputy Mayor of Erewash Donna Briggs along with Derby Road West Councillor Garry Hickton were delighted to present a cheque to the Long Eaton Fibro Active Group. The award was made from Erewash Borough Councils members small grant scheme.
The Fibro Active Support Group work tirelessly in the community with sufferers of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.They meet every Tuesday at Petersham Hall for supportive classes that include Tai Chi, arts & crafts and talking therapies, all run by a team of dedicated volunteers.

Julie said "This money will be used to purchase a Boccia kit to include as a regular event in our programme of events. This programme aims to improve the quality of life of sufferers of this debilitating condition, improve mental health, assist in members forging new friendships and above all help them to remain active".
