EBC Wilsthorpe Councillors working together to assist Happivale Social Club

Erewash Borough Councillors for Wilsthorpe, Cllr Kewal Singh Athwal, Chris Corbett and Michael Powell have jointly assisted Happivale Social Club in funding new pool tables for their premises on Tamworth Road. Happivale is an organisation run mostly by volunteers who do a lot of good work for people with special needs from our area. Councillors Athwal, Corbett and Powell have jointly contributed £1500 from the EBC Members Grant scheme to enable the purchase of pools tables for the club.

Councillor Chris Corbett said;

 "The Mayoress and I were delighted to be invited to the Happivale Christmas Party this year and were most impressed with the lovely atmosphere and the many activities organised for their members. Their pool tables had however been in use for many years and were in need of replacement. Fellow Wilsthorpe Councillors Kewal Singh Athwal and Mike Powell joined me in contributing their Council grants to help towards the costs involved."
