We had a large attendance at the Annual General Meeting of the Erewash Conservative Association on Friday. Held at the Sawley Memorial and Community Centre, members witnessed Maggie Throup MP lay out her vision for the future of Erewash.

The following officers were elected for 2018/19:

President: Annette Noskwith CBE

Chairman: David Stephenson

Deputy Chairman Political: Cllr Garry Hickton

Deputy Chairman Fundraising and Membership: Brenda Straw

Treasurer: Barry Travers

Deputy Treasurer: Tony Morris

Our annual awards were also presented to Long Eaton Branch for Achievement in Political Campaigning (Cllr Garry Hickton shown receiving award from Maggie Throup MP). Ilkeston Branch received the Highest Membership Increase award and Breaston Branch was awarded the trophy for most fundraising.

The meeting was followed by a buffet which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
