Today, Jessica Lee, Member of Parliament for Erewash welcomed Cabinet Minister, The Rt. Hon. Chris Grayling MP, to Erewash to support the Government’s announcement of the northern phase of HS2. The East Midlands Hub station will be located at the border of the Erewash constituency.
Jessica took Mr Grayling to Stanton-Bonna Concrete Ltd to showcase an example of the type of business already doing well in the area and contributing to railway and infrastructure projects in the UK.
Jessica Lee, Member of Parliament for Erewash said:
“I welcome the Government’s announcement today that the next phase of HS2 is coming north. The location of the East Midlands Hub will bring future regeneration and jobs for the area. This project is the biggest overhaul of the northern railways since the Victorian era and is about investing long term for Erewash and the country.”
